How do I turn reminders on or off?

Open BreathKit, tap Settings, and in the Breathing section turn Enable Daily Reminder on or off. You can add more reminder times there, and turn Streak Reminders on or off. The app asks for notification permission the first time you turn one on.

How does BreathKit use Apple Health?

Turn it on in Settings, under Health Integration, or from the card after a session. The app then writes each completed session to Apple Health as a mindful minute. The Apple Watch app reads your heart rate during a session to show the start and end values in the summary; to do that it runs a mind and body workout while you breathe, which is why it asks to save workouts, and it discards the workout afterward. Revoke access at any time in the Health app, under Sharing.

Why didn't my session count?

A session that ends before one full breathing cycle isn't recorded. Finish the cycle, or use a longer session, and it will count. The app finishes the cycle it is in when the timer runs out, so a 5-minute box breathing session runs to 5:04.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings and, under About, choose Restore Purchases (it's also on the Premium screen). Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID you used to buy it. A lifetime purchase and an annual subscription are both restored this way.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or use Apple's subscription help. Canceling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.

Do my sessions sync between iPhone and Apple Watch?

Yes, through your private iCloud, when both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID. The app has no separate account. If a session doesn't appear, check that iCloud is on for BreathKit in Settings. Premium and your custom patterns reach Apple Watch from the paired iPhone rather than through iCloud.

Is there an Android version?

No. BreathKit is for iPhone and Apple Watch. The web timers on this website work in any modern browser, including on Android.

Can I use BreathKit instead of medical treatment?

No. BreathKit is a breathing timer, not a medical device, and it doesn't treat any condition. If you have a breathing or heart condition, or you're pregnant, talk to your doctor before practicing breath holds.
